U.S. Employment and Training Administration announces Site For State and Local Employment Projection

U.S. Employment and Training Administration announces INTERNET LINKS FOR STATE AND LOCAL EMPLOYMENT PROJECTIONS

The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Workforce Investment has issued Internet Links for State and Local Employment Projections.

Employment projections are the most frequently-requested type of workforce statistic besides the unemployment rate.  Projections are used for career counseling; to plan employment, education and training programs; for economic development and other state or regional planning; as supporting documentation to apply for Federal grants; and for many other purposes.

This new resource includes direct links to

  • all published industry and occupational projections for the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico;
  • long-term (usually 10 years) and short-term projections (usually 2 years), including the dates of the projections;
  • statewide and local projections, including an explanation of the type of locality;
  • each state’s employment projections Web page (if available);
  • a statistical table summarizing the availability of different types of projections;
  • each state’s primary labor market information Web site; and
  • the key BLS employment projections Web sites.

Internet Links for State and Local Employment Projections can be easily customized by the user, and is designed for the broadest possible audience, including

  • state and local Workforce Investment Act and other employment and training program staff;
  • DOL grant applicants and recipients;
  • educators, trainers and career counselors;
  • economic development and strategic planners;
  • community and faith-based organizations;
  • employers;
  • labor unions;
  • DOL national and regional office staff; and
  • researchers, students, and the general public.

State and local employment projections are primarily funded by ETA, while national employment projections are produced by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about
this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is
magnificent blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.

My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from
PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on a variety of
websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform.
I have heard very good things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?
Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
